Our Different Slat Options

Here at Garolla, we have made the garage ordering process as simple as possible for our customers.

However, one of the questions that you may be asking, is “which slat size do I need for my garage”. To help you answer this question, this week our blog is going to look at the difference between our slats.

When creating your new electric roller shutter garage door using our online garage door builder tool, you have four slat options to choose from which are used across our four products.

Our Transform garage door features our 55mm high slat at 12mm thick, and is designed for garages up to 2.4m wide.

Our Transform Pro garage door also features our 55mm high slat at 12mm thick, but is filled with triple density foam for added strength. This door is designed for garages up to 3.2m wide.

Our Titan garage door is designed for bigger garages up to 4m wide. This door uses our 77mm high slat at 19mm thick.

Our 55mm slats are cheaper than our larger 77mm slats, however, because they are smaller in size they do not provide as much security and thermal efficiency as our larger slats. All of our slats are made from twin-walled aluminium and are insulated using high density polyurethane foam. This polyurethane minimises heat loss and also helps insulate against sound.

All our garage doors are fitted with a bottom slat that is made from twin-walled aluminium and is held in place using high strength end locks. They are also fitted with a heavy-duty rubber seal to help prevent draughts or water entering your garage.
